Shhh, be very quiet..

This is an oddity. Windsor gets a gazillion visitors each year who come hungry for a bit of culture and then find that upon leaving the castle they have nothing but the tartan shawl shop and a McDonalds to satisfy their need to spend Euros, Dollars and Yen.

Why not visit the Windsor Museum? I hear you cry. Well, perhaps the fact that it is 2 miles from town in a seedy lockup in Dedworth, opened precisely 1 morning a month might put a few of them off.

The collection is stunning, with artifacts from the neolithic, roman, saxon (including an incredibly beautiful saxon broach), middle ages and industrial times, the rich history of Windsor should ensure this would be a museum worth visiting.

The collection is being continually updated with new artifacts but as NOBODY EVER SEES THEM, you have to question the whole bloody point.
